From the moment I started to pay attention to what I can do, rather that what I can’t do, and from the moment I started to apply time and energy to the things in life that I love, I feel like I get a lot of answers to questions I did not even know I was asking. It happens often that I just understand things I didn’t even know I was wondering, and those understandings brings me that little bit closer to where I want to be. All my life I’ve wasted so much energy on what I don’t have, who I’m not and what I can’t do. I know exactly what I don’t like, what makes me uncomfortable, what jobs I don’t want that I mustn’t have had any energy left to figure out what I do want, like, what I am good at and what I wanted to do. There is only so many hours in a day, and it make sense that if I, during those hours work on figuring out why I’m not happy, what I need and what I don’t like, there is no time left for actually figuring out all the amazing things I can do with my life.
When I finally quit thinking about all that who couldn’t be done, and started to look into and pay attention to what I do love, what does keep me inspired and what I want to do with my life, suddenly, one thing at a time fell into place. I now focus on what I love, and what makes me happy. I see what I can do in certain situations, and more and more I feel like I now see opportunities that I love. I see possibilities everywhere, and because I’m open to what I like, I now have energy to act on those possibilities.
It’s not about just focusing on the positive, it is clearing space so that you have room for the positive things in life. Give room in your life to do what you actually can do, and love to do.
